Single Size Biomat

Richway's Single Sized Biomat is a healing “pad” which lies on top of  your home twin or single sized mattress.  It converts electricity through a computerized control panel, produced by Texas Instruments, into Far Infrared Rays (FIR).  FIR were discovered by NASA to be the safest, most beneficial light waves and increases blood circulation (where applied) in the human body.  Infrared therapy, also known as thermotherapy, results in increased tissue temperature.¹ Thermotherapy also increases blood flow which makes healing tissue easier on the body by providing nutrients, protein and oxygen where the healing must occur. Studies have shown that a one degree Celcius rise in tissue temperature is associated with a ten to fifteen percent increase in local tissue metabolism.² This increase in tissue metabolism helps healing by eliminating metabolic byproducts of tissue damage and supplies an environment for repairing the tissue and supporting a healthy immune system.

The Biomat also produces Negative Ions, or anions, are negatively charged molecules that have more electrons (-) than protons (+).
